Today's Technique Lover's Challenge was to *Mix it Up!*, by using 2 different patterned decorative papers on our card. I made the DP under the stamped image by starting with a piece of gray and white DP in a sort of splotchy pattern, giving it a wash of Plum Twinkling H2O, then crumpling it up in my hand, smoothing it out, swiping ColorBox silver over the high spots, and finally finishing it with a coating of Detail Clear EP. Oh, then I distressed it even further!
I stamped the main image (Asian Montage by PSX) onto paper vellum in Brilliance Lightening Black ink, and colored the orchids in from the back using, what else, an Orchid Opulence marker! The tiny sentiment which is part of the stamp reads, *When the wind stops you can smell the orchid.* I distressed the edges by burning (carefully!) in a candle flame. I wanted my HH to be black instead of antique brass, so I swiped the 2 pieces onto a Versamark pad and dipped into Black EP, which I tied with unknown fuzzy purple fibers.
I made the round (moon?) tag or charm in the upper right corner by wrapping purple wire around a Crystal Effects bottle several times to get a circle, gluing it to a punched out circle of paper vellum, on which I stamped the Chinese character for *spirit* from the set, Ancient Asia. I then filled it in thickly with more CE. Finally, all this was mounted to 2 different patterns of DP from a collection called Echo, by Memory Box.
Thanks for looking; I hope you like it!

Stunning Asian collage, which I love but can't do. Beautiful to the eye, I love the DP that you created, the fibers and the hardware. It's all fabulous.
