Okay ... here we go. I had no idea what I was going to do for this; you guys always blow me away with what you come up with for these challenges. I worked for a while and then decided to go give it a shot. I pulled out my catalog and noticed the dotted circle in the So Much set that looked like it would be a great tool to use for lining up my eyelets in a perfect pattern shape, so that's where it all began. I grabbed my Old Olive eyelets and went to work. I stamped the polka-dot circle to use for my guide and then punched all of the holes with the 1/8" circle punch. I then went and set the eyelets with my 1/16" punch. You could skip a hole, use different colors, etc., for this sample I just stuck with Old Olive, she's not so bad ;o)
Anyhoo, I then had this piece of white paper with a ring of Old Olive eyelets, now what? I then used my Coluzzle to make it a complete circle, accidentally hit the white into my Regal Rose pad and decided that would be the next color I work with and thus the reason I did DTP all the way around the white circle. Next I used my Coluzzle again for the Regal Rose circle inside the ring of eyelets. I kind of just went on from there but initially had NO idea where this was going. I ended up stamping the flower on the Old Olive in White Craft and embossing with white EP. I stamped the flower in white twice, cut them out and used stampin' dimensionals in between layers. I used a jumbo eyelet for the flower's center and gave it a layer of Crystal Effects. I punched at the bottom with my large oval punch, stamped the Thanks in Basic Black and punched again with my large oval punch and adhered it to the inside. PHEW! I feel better now getting this done, as I'm going away tomorrow and won't be able to play again with all of you until Monday. Have a great weekend everyone and thank you all so much for your daily inspirational creations!
