The sketch challenge and color challenge are my two favorites, especially because they are up early like I am - I'm able to get my creativity fix and get on with the rest of the day. I went right to work this morning to create this blingity bling card for someone down the road. I saw the technique for the faux alligator (can't remember where there are SO many blogs), but I just had to try it myself. I used Versamark all over the cardstock first and then Glassy Glaze to emboss the cardstock (I'm probably doing the technique backwards, BUT). Once the cardstock cooled, I used my Tiny Mosaic Cuttlebug embossing folder to create the alligator print. I wanted a layer of silver to separate the focal image black layer from the background layer, so I just smudged my Encore silver ink pad around the edge, sprinkled with silver EP and embossed to create the faux layer. I cut a piece of Silver HPHW in half to create the faux buckle accent pieces. I stamped the main image with Encore silver and embossed with silver EP. I added a few blingity blings to the crown for some shine.
Thank you for the fun challenges every morning!
