What a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Hope your day was as brilliant as mine with glorious breezes and beautiful sun.
Our Inspiration co-hosts this week sent us on a quick trip only a few blocks from Trafalgar Square called Temperley Square couture. I must admit two things: The first is I had sticker shock at their prices and secondly, I've never seen anyone wear anything remotely close to those designs. Guess that makes a huge statement: I'm not rotten rich nor does money grow on my trees.
Anyway, once I wiped the sweat off my brow from sticker shock, I did happen upon something I am enthralled with on a too-often basis. Kimonos just seem to have my name written all over them for some reason. Here's where today's inspiration came from: http://www.temperleylondon.com/shop/...black-mix.html
I didn't care for the black design, so I opted for a lighter color, aqua.
I'm saddened my spouse is not a huge capital venture whiz because I sure would love to spend that kind of money on something a little more appropriate for this down home kind of stamper.
Enjoy your Saturday evening. Thanks Stef and Audrie for the fun challenge.

Oh, sweet Anne!! Your artwork continues to amaze me!! I love the lady in her wonderfully colored kimono with her gorgeous headdress with hanging pearls! I wish I had seen this yesterday and I would have added it to my list of favorites. Just know that it is!!! BTW, I too had sticker shock when I started viewing the inspiration site. I haven't even seen the Hollywood elites wearing these pieces of fabric! LOL

Oh, sweet Anne, I can see you in that kimono - it's gorgeous! But my mouth dropped at the price too - haha! Yikes! But fine silk these days is very pricey. It's one of the reasons I stopped sewing. The cost of good fabric outweighs the time to make a well-made outfit. Anyway, this is a gorgeous card for the piece of attire you chose, and I love the teal. And your coloring of this gorgeous image is exquisite! Beautifully done! Hugs! xoxo
