Goodness, this is so not what I was thinking of (boy card for teenage nephew) when I read Lydia's challenge this morning.
I think I was influenced by the amount of time I spent watching a new-to-our-feeders siskin this morning, with bright yellow markings, and remembering that I had some washed out tomato puree /paste tubes on the kitchen window sill. This will go to a French friend resident in the UK who is over here for a visit just now. We went to see her last night, and she had a lovely gift of earrings for me as a thank-you for all the cards I send her ~ she'll be adding this one to the collection ;-).
A2 kraft base. HA script stamped with Smokey Grey, then the iris with black, coloured with Couleur d'Art pencils. I added some scoring.
Bird cut from tomato puree tube foil, embossed (careful placing of eye!) with SU Elegant Lines, sanded and then brushed over with Stream and Lettuce alcohol inks. (Detail in bottom corner of photo shows bird with more sunshine on it).
Sentiment from ODBD Scripture Series 3.

Oh wow Sabrina this is amazing. I am sitting here waiting for another card of yours to "open". I can see your description and the comments but so far no joy in seeing the card. In the mean time I am having a lot of fun looking at all of your other beautiful cards.
