For the Color Challenge hosted by Chris. Her fabulous colors are: Berry Burst, Old Olive, Crumb Cake with gold for the dessert option.
I decided to use a new-to-me SU Bundle for the first time. This is an amazing set of coordinating products and there are a lot of different ways they can be used.
First, I placed a ribbon down the center of the white card base. It is a Crumb Cake in color with gold threads in it. The olive panel was both embossed and die-cut. Then I tipped the edges in VersaMark ink and laid it flat. I brushed on gold Pearl Ex powder on the edges. The spots were there was VersaMark ink picked up a lot of the powder; the areas with no ink have a light dusting for a sparkle. Unfortunately, it is difficult to see in the photo.
I attached this olive piece to the card base.
The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Crumb Cake and then die-cut into a small stitched rectangle (same die set). I matted it with the Berry Burst before placing it on the Olive panel.
All the poinsettias were stamped and die-cut. The larger poinsettia was popped up after I turned up the petals with a bone folder and layered with a smaller one. A gold gem adorns the center. Two smaller poinsettias were glued down; they have Stickles in the centers.
It was fun to play with new supplies and use this beautiful color combo for a Christmas card. I hope you will explore the colors and your supplies. Please share your creations with us! TFL
