I stamped the bonjour from the French version of this set onto cardstock, and then laid my vellum on top of that to pierce the outline of the letters for my faux stitching.
Then I put the vellum over some DSP and faux stitched around the edge of the card. Finishing all that poking was a squeaker for the 45 minutes!
The doily is a paper doily from my china cabinet - I had no time to cut a doily!!

You don't do things by half measures, do you Lydia. Paper piecing. I've never seen this technique for faux stitching. Looks time consuming but well worth it. Thanks for playing!

Okay, wish you could see me on my knees, bowing up and down, up and down, at all that poking you did on this and how beautiful it turned out. It almost looks like trapunto. Beautiful technique and beautiful card!
