I have done this also - eliminates the sticky around your pieces! You then don't have to hassle with trying to remove the sticky!

I take my embossing stylus and go around the cut cut image (on the back side not the plastic sheet side) - this presses the sticky on to the plastic that is on top. I don't have near the problem...
